Why direct makes sense for organisations

What your team gets when they study with Tim.

🎯
Same tutor. Every session.
Your team gets Tim Young FCIPS — not whoever's available that week. Consistency of delivery matters for group learning and for your team's confidence in the investment.
🏗
Tailored to your context
Open cohorts are generic. Dedicated delivery for your organisation means examples, scenarios and case studies drawn from your sector, your contracts and your team's actual challenges.
💷
Simple, clear pricing
£500 per student per level, with no enrolment fees. It's easy to compare with other quotes you get.
📱
Direct access between sessions
Your staff can contact Tim directly between sessions rather than going through a helpdesk or portal — a difference some teams value highly and others don't need.
📊
Progress reporting available
Need to report on your team's development to a line manager or board? Progress updates and attendance reporting are available throughout. You stay in the loop without micromanaging.
⏱
Your schedule, not ours
Dedicated cohorts run around your organisation's needs. Can't make the usual class times? No problem. In-person delivery is available for organisations in the East of England region.

No surprises. No hidden costs.

The individual rate is £500 per student per level (Level 4 or Level 5). Level 6 classes are free. Training a team? Email me with the numbers and level, and I'll quote a group price.

CIPS membership and exam fees are paid direct to CIPS by each student, and study materials are bought separately from the publisher — keeping them in full control of their own qualification record and removing your organisation from the admin overhead of managing those payments.

In-person delivery is available for organisations in the East of England region. Travel is agreed in advance and transparently costed — no surprises on invoice.

How it works
1
Get in touch
Email with your team size, which level, rough timescales and a bit about your organisation. No commitment at this stage — just a conversation to understand whether it's a good fit.
2
Discovery call
A short call to understand your team's background, your sector, what you want them to get out of the qualification and whether a dedicated cohort or the open schedule makes more sense for you.
3
Written proposal
A clear written proposal — schedule, format, pricing, what's included. No small print, no hidden costs. Everything you need to present internally or raise a PO against.
4
Students register with CIPS
Your team registers directly with CIPS for membership and exams — keeping their qualification record under their own control and removing the admin from your plate.
5
Tuition begins
Sessions run to your agreed schedule. Progress updates available. Direct access to Tim between sessions for your students. You'll know how they're getting on — without babysitting the process.
Can you raise invoices and work with our purchase order process? ▼
Yes. Invoices are issued professionally and can reference your PO number. If your organisation needs a supplier registration or vendor setup, just let me know the process and I'll work through it with you. I'm set up to work with organisations of all sizes including public sector bodies with formal procurement requirements.
How big are the groups? ▼
It depends on your team. Training a team? Email me with the numbers and level, and I'll quote a group price.
Can sessions be recorded for students who miss a session? ▼
On the £500 live classes, a student who misses a class gets a 1:1 catch-up with Tim. Recordings come with the £150 distance learning and the £79 per-module options. For a dedicated cohort, we can agree recording at the start if everyone is comfortable with it.
What reporting can you provide to our L&D or HR team? ▼
Attendance records, module progress summaries and general development updates are available throughout. I'm not going to send a weekly spreadsheet nobody reads — but if your organisation needs specific reporting for CPD records, board reporting or appraisal evidence, we'll agree the format that works for you at the outset.
What happens if someone leaves mid-course? ▼
Fees are invoiced per term or module rather than upfront for the full level — so you're not locked into paying for a student who leaves. The exact arrangement is agreed in the proposal stage. A replacement student can often join a dedicated cohort mid-programme depending on where they are in the syllabus.
What if a student struggles or doesn't pass? ▼
Students who are struggling get additional support between sessions — directly from me, not signposted to a help portal. If a student doesn't pass an assessment, we review what happened and build a plan for the resit. I don't disappear after the exam. Your organisation's investment in their development matters to me beyond the immediate session schedule.
Are you an approved CIPS centre? ▼
No. Young Procurement is not a CIPS Approved Study Centre. Your CIPS qualification, membership and exam are with CIPS directly, whoever tutors you. If your procurement policy requires an approved centre, tell me and we can talk it through.
Can you deliver in-person at our premises? ▼
Yes — for organisations in Norfolk and the wider East of England region. In-person delivery at your premises is available for dedicated cohorts. Travel is agreed upfront and transparently costed. For organisations further afield, online delivery by video call works well and is what the open cohorts use.
We already use a training centre — how do we make the switch? ▼
Start with a conversation. If your team are mid-qualification with a centre, we can discuss how to pick up from where they are. No obligation in getting in touch.
