Who we are
Young Procurement is run by Tim Young. If you have any question about your information, email tim@youngprocurement.co.uk.
What we collect, and why
- Contact form. Your name, email address, organisation (optional), what you're interested in and your message. We use it only to reply to you. The form sends it to Tim by email, through our email service provider (Resend). We don't ask for a phone number.
- Payments. ProcurePass and PassLevel5 are bought on their own websites, under their own terms and privacy policies. For everything else, you email Tim and he agrees with you how to pay. This site doesn't take card payments.
- Emails you send us. We keep your email so we can reply and support you.
- Supplier Intelligence tool. Company names and numbers you search are sent to Companies House to look up public records. If you ask for an AI report, the company information is sent to Anthropic's Claude service to write it.
What the free tools store
The free tools (negotiation planner, Kraljic matrix, total cost of ownership calculator, stakeholder map and PESTLE builder) run in your browser. Nothing you type into them is stored or sent anywhere.
Cookies and other services
We don't use cookies for tracking or advertising, and we don't use analytics. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, and some pages load a PDF tool from Cloudflare's cdnjs service; when they do, your browser connects to those services, which can see your IP address. The website is hosted by Railway.
Some pages link to other sites, such as ProcurePass, PassLevel5, LinkedIn and Buy Me a Coffee. If you follow those links, that site's own privacy policy applies.
Why we're allowed to use it
We use your information to reply to you and to provide what you've asked for (or to take steps before you buy). We don't send marketing emails.
How long we keep it
I keep emails for as long as needed to answer you and keep business records.
Who we share it with
Only the services named above, so they can do their job (sending email, hosting the site, and the Supplier Intelligence look-ups). We never sell or share your details for anyone else's marketing.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email tim@youngprocurement.co.uk. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
